Message from our Director

I enjoy being a "hands on" owner who is heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the summer and off-season. I feel fortunate to have created something so emotionally rewarding and have the leadership of our Senior Director, Lindsay Vos, and Administrative Director, Kori Taylor who work diligently in the off-season making sure that we are prepared to deliver camp programs to more than 3000 families every year.

If you are new to Planet Kids, I strongly recommend that you attend our camp open house on Saturday May 15th from 11-2pm at Kelso Conservation Area in Milton, I welcome returning families to stop by too. You will have the chance to meet our team of staff who are responsible for making your child's summer so much fun and memorable. We are offering 38 unique camp programs this season, including our new Wilderness, Science, Educational, Gamer, DJ, and Kinder Sports programs.

I am most proud of our staff wanting to come to work each day motivated to make a difference in a child's life. Staff who enjoy what they do equals campers who enjoy their time at camp. We spend 4 months of the year recruiting and re-hiring people who are responsible for our success.

We have something to offer all ages from 4-16 years of age with a simple and effective website that provides you, the customer, with the tools necessary to make the right decisions for your child.

About the director

Jeff Deverill is the owner and founder of Planet Kids established in 1998. He lives in Cambridge with his wife Lucie and three wonderful children, Dylan and Danica and Daniel.

Jeff has energy, passion, and knowledge for the industry as he leads his staff with purpose and motivation. Jeff has been regarded as the Pied Piper of Summer Camps as children migrate to his warm, energetic and caring personality.

He has 26 years experience in the camp industry at all levels as he worked his way from counsellor in training to counselor to leadership development coordinator to Program Director to District Supervisor to Senior Director and now Owner. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and has professionally coached more than 250 children at the grass roots and elite level in the sport of squash.
