Camps > Counsellor-in-Training (C.I.T)

Our CIT program is a great volunteer opportunity available exclusively for those who have first successfully completed our Leadership Extreme program. CITs are assigned to a camp group for the week, assisting the staff with various camp duties, activities and special events. This will help further develop and implement good leadership skills while also teaching about working with children effectively. CIT’s will be provided with 2 red CIT shirts, that they are to wear each day while CITing at camp. A CIT certificate will be provided to each CIT acknowledging their volunteer hours, which may be applied towards their high school requirement (guidelines vary – check with your high school). Each full week of CIT = 40 volunteer hours. CITs may be eligible for future employment with Planet Kids. This is BY INVITATION, based on performance and our staffing needs. Employment is not guaranteed. To register for our CIT program please call our office at 289-291-0870. CIT registrations must be made by phone and are limited to two weeks per camp location.
